The homes and businesses surrounding the abortion facilities (and the facility grounds themselves) are private property. Please respect our neighbors and park only in the locations designated below.
As peaceful and law-abiding volunteers:
- We park only in the areas designated below
- We stand and pray only in the areas designated below
- We do not cross the line onto private property
- We do not stand in the driveways and block them
- We obey all posted city parking signs
Vigil Location Details
South: Planned Parenthood
Location: 201 E Ben White Blvd., Austin
This Planned Parenthood facility is the abortion center for Austin (there are other Planned Parenthood facilities, but they do not do abortions). It is just east of Congress on Ben White/HW 290. Headed east on the feeder, you will pass a Wendy’s and a Capitol Credit Union. Planned Parenthood is the next building.
Parking:
Between the Credit Union and the Wendy’s is a fence at the back lined with trees. Vehicles can park there without being towed. If there are no available spaces there, the Salvation Army a block south on Congress has a lot to park in.
Where to Pray:
The public right of way includes the grassy area and the sidewalk from the iron fence to the street.
South Central: Austin Women’s Health
Location: 1902 S I-35, Austin
Austin Women’s Health is located on the southbound side of I-35 between Woodland and Oltorf. Headed south on I-35, exit Woodland and stay headed south on the feeder. After a stop light is an apartment complex. The abortion facility is on the right just after the apartments.
Parking:
Volunteers can park on Mariposa Dr, a public street just south of the abortion facility past a convenience store.
Where to pray:
The public right of way includes the grassy area and sidewalk between the street and the property line of the abortion facility. This is a very narrow area to stand and pray, and the property line is marked by a “No Trespassing” sign.
Northwest: International Healthcare Solutions
Location: 9805 Anderson Mill Rd, Austin
International Healthcare Solutions is just west of 183 on Anderson Mill Rd. Headed west, it is a couple blocks down on the left before the first light (two churches are located at this light). There is no sign on the property identifying the facility. It has a tall iron fence, two driveways, and a grassy ditch along the street.
Parking:
Park in the large lot at the corner of Anderson Mill and Research on the same side as the abortion facility, but do not park directly in from of any business. Do not park in any other local business or church parking lots.
Where to pray:
The public right of way is the grassy ditch in front of the abortion facility. Their property line is marked by the telephone pole on the very right corner of the property. Praying right at their fence would be crossing onto their property.
Northeast: Whole Woman’s Health
Location: 8401 N I-35, Austin
This facility is located on the northbound frontage road of I-35 just north of 183. You will pass an old Walmart, an Extended Stay Suites hotel, and a radio station. The next building is Whole Woman’s Health on the corner of I-35 and Fenelon. Whole Woman’s Health is located at the front of a subdivision.
Parking:
Fenelon is a public street and you can park on the right side of the street opposite the facility (parking is allowed only on this side of the street). If there are too many vehicles parked on the street, there is a big open lot at the old Walmart a couple of blocks south.
Where to Pray:
The public right of way is the grassy area from the chain link fence to the street. Part of the public right of way is not marked with a fence, so make note that the property line is located where the sign says “No Trespassing.”
