Many of you are familiar with the "Until Abortion Ends" campaign. This is a campaign calling people across the country to give something up as a small sacrifice until abortion ends. It is time to sacrifice something for those whose lives have been sacrificed in the name of 'choice.'

As Christians who are familiar with fasting and offering up small things/desires/comforts to Jesus, we know the power of fasting and sacrificing. During 40 Days for Life hundreds of thousands of prayer volunteers across the world fast – and thousands of women and babies have been saved from abortion! Not only is fasting a reminder to pray for the injustice of abortion to end, but it is also a physical discipline that helps to discipline our spiritual life. After all, training our free will is something that is counter cultural.

One pro-choicer, Erin, came across the 60-second YouTube videos posted by participants of the Until Abortion Ends campaign. Each video describes specific and intentional things individuals are giving up until abortion ends.

Hellbent on believing that abortion will never end, Erin thinks that it is "funny" that people are giving things up "because you just aren't doing anything." These prayers and sacrifices to her are "meaningless gestures" that pale in comparison to the lobbying, fundraising, and volunteering that she and other pro-choicers do to win this "war on women."

The Austin Coalition for Life is launching a contest. Come up with the most loving, the most creative, the most articulate, and the funniest video in response to Erin. Foul language, name-calling and other aggressive tactics will not be entered in the contest.
