What is Stand and Pray?

At the heart of the mission of the Austin Coalition for Life is the public and peaceful presence at the four local Austin abortion clinics.

In addition to being called by faith to bring light into the darkness, proven results show that Standing and Praying is effective. Women choose life instead of abortion, abortion clinic workers have conversions, men and women with abortions in their past find healing, and awareness of the injustice of abortion is brought to the community.

We are praying that, with God's help, abortion is ending in Austin, one woman and one child at a time.

The busiest days of the abortion industry are Saturdays and Fridays. Our goal is to have at least two people praying every hour from 7am-4pm each Friday and Saturday at each abortion clinic in Austin. Are you willing to step up to the challenge and help bring prayer to the place where human life is being taken?

With a foundation of prayer and fasting, the visible, public centerpiece of the Austin Coalition for Life is the peaceful vigil outside the local abortion facilities. By committing an hour on the busiest days for the abortion industry, Fridays and Saturdays, to maintain the prayer vigil, YOU can be a part of saving women and children from abortion right in your own community!
