The Austin Coalition for Life is proud to officially announce the upcoming 40 Days for Life prayer vigil to end abortion. 40 Days for Life is a community-based effort to shed light on abortion and bring about the end of abortion through three simple avenues:
- Prayer and fasting
- Constant Vigil
- Community Outreach
Across the world, 242 cities are uniting with Austin by praying, fasting, keeping vigil and reaching out to their communities to save more women, children and men from abortion. Based in prayer, 40 Days for Life is about love, compassion and helping women see alternatives other than abortion to their unplanned pregnancy.
From March 9 through April 17, hundreds of faithful people from across central Texas are flocking to the sidewalks in front of two Austin abortion clinics for a transformative 40 day prayer vigil. For 40 days straight, from 7am to 7pm each day, there will be people peacefully keeping vigil in front of the very buildings in our neighborhoods where innocent human life is being taken.
Just by spending one hour in prayer each week in front of abortion clinics, lives are saved and hearts are changed. Will YOU dedicate an hour each week to keep this prayer vigil going?
