The largest crowd of pro-lifers Austin has ever seen assembled on the sidewalk to launch this fall 40 Days for Life on September 22. Over 350 people of faith and people of conscience gathered to pray and get motivated for this 40 day prayer campaign.

Abortion supporters tried to have a counter-presence, but their numbers paled in comparison to the people of LIFE on the other side of the fence.

Five police officers with Austin Police Department were on the scene to make sure the peaceful pro-life presence wasn’t threatened by abortion supporters.

Fr. Pedro Garcia-Ramirez from St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and Pastor Trey Kent from Northwest Fellowship Church led the masses in prayer.

Abortion survivor Claire Culwell shared her story. When her biological mother became pregnant, she was 13 years old. Her mother went to an abortion clinic and went through with the procedure. But Claire survived. Watch her speech to find out how Claire is alive today.

Austin Coalition for Life Executive Director Elizabeth McClung revved up the crowd as she emphasized the importance and efficacy of standing and praying in front of abortion centers for 40 days straight.

    About Elizabeth

When God calls you to do something, woe to you if you don't answer the call! Years ago, he called me to work tirelessly to stop the killing of his precious children and the hurting of their mothers. I have been going to stand and pray in front of abortion facilities across the country since 2004, and have been sidewalk counseling since 2007.
